Pulakeshinagar, formerly known as Frazer Town, is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city of Bangalore, India. It is located in central Bangalore, and begins roughly near the eastern end of Cantonment railway station.

History and name

Located in the north-east direction of Bangalore, it is spread over an area of four square kilometers.

Frazer Town is a locality in Bangalore City, surrounded by Coles Road, Wheeler Road, MM Road, St. Johns Church Road, Richards Town Localities. Bangalore East Railway station is 1 km from Frazer Town. It is 28 km from Bengaluru International Airport. Bus stops nearby are Fraser Town Post Office, Fraser Town, Mosque Road (Fraser Town), Slaughter House, and Clarence School. Buses that pass through Frazer Town are 293D, 292B, J296B, 294D, 296V, P295B, 293N, 294C, 296E, 296D, 296F, 294A, 294E, 300A,300B, 300C, 300E. It is a distance of 3 km away from Shivajinagar Bus terminus and a distance of 7 km away from K R Market Bus terminus.
