Qiuming Cheng is a Canadian mathematical geoscientist. Qiuming is currently a full professor jointly in the Department of Earth and Space Science and Engineering, and in the Department of Geography, at York University, Toronto.[1] He received the William Christian Krumbein Medal in 2008 from the International Association for Mathematical Geosciences.[2] He was the President of the International Association for Mathematical Geosciences (2012-2016). He is currently the President of the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS).[3]
