Rachel Lee Priday

Rachel Lee Priday (born March 18, 1988 in Chicago) is a Korean-American violinist.[1]
Priday has performed with major orchestras worldwide, including the Chicago, Seattle, Houston, Saint Louis, and National Symphonies, the Staatskapelle Berlin, the Seoul Philharmonic, the KBS Symphony, and the Boston Pops.[citation needed] At nine years of age she performed at the United Nations' 50th Anniversary celebration of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.[citation needed] Priday performed at the 2000 Grammy awards.[citation needed]

Priday started playing violin at age four. Her father was not a musician, and her mother played piano.

Beginning in 1996, Priday studied with Dorothy DeLay and later Itzhak Perlman at the Juilliard School Pre-college Division. She attended a dual degree program with Harvard University and New England Conservatory, graduating with a B.A. in English from Harvard in 2010, and a M.M. degree studying with Miriam Fried at NEC in 2011.
