Rajendra Gangani is a renowned Kathak maestro known for his innovative style, spellbinding abinaya and technical wizzardry. [1] The legendary dancer is currently one of the foremost gurus in the Jaipur Gharana style of Kathak. For his outstanding contribution to the field of Kathak, Gangani received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2003 from A. P. J. Abdul Kalam (the President of India then), the highest award for contribution to Indian performing arts.[2]
