Raketoplan (Ракетоплан) is the general term used in Russian for a Rocket-powered aircraft.

The term Raketoplan is used both for rocket airplanes that move exclusively in the Earth's atmosphere, as well as for "rocket aircraft" used in space. Raketoplan refers exclusively to spacecraft which, at least on reentry, use aerodynamic capabilities of aircraft and thus differ from space capsules.
