The Rally of the Lakes is an on-road rallying event held in the south-west of Republic of Ireland. It takes place each year on May bank holiday weekend. The rally has been running since 1979[1] and in 2008 formed the third round in the 2008 Global Group Irish Tarmac Rally Championship. Since 2011 it has been sponsored by vehicle check company Cartell[2] and known as the Cartell.ie Rally of the Lakes.
