Red Cord Records is an American record label from Rockford, Illinois. The label started in September 2008,[3] but went on hiatus in 2014.[4] The label signed bands including Phinehas,[5] Random Hero,[6] and Inhale Exhale.[7][8][9]
Background
Red Cord Records started in 2008, with the first band they signed being Phinehas.[10] From there the label signed hardcore punk bands such as A Past Unknown and From the Eyes of Servants,[11] rock bands such as This City Awaits,[12] metalcore bands such as Inhale Exhale,[7][8][9] and deathcore/death metal acts like Your Chance to Die[13] and Solomon.[14] In 2011, the label aligned themselves with Victory Records for distribution purposes.[1] The label signed a few more bands including Least of These[15] and This City Awaits in 2014.[12]
