The Research Institute of Industrial Economics (IFN) is a research institute in economics based in Stockholm, Sweden. The institute conducts research in a number of areas, and for example on Globalization and Corporate Restructuring, Entrepreneurship, the Service Sector and the Electricity Markets.

Professor Magnus Henrekson is the CEO of the Institute and Professor Lars Persson is the executive vice president. The institute engages, amongst others, the following researchers: Henrik Horn, Assar Lindbeck and Yves Zenou.

The Institute was founded in 1939 by Sigfrid Edström. Ivar Andersson became the first CEO of the institute and Sigrid Edström its first chairman.
