Richard Birdsall

Richard Birdsall (1799 – 21 January 1852) was an English-born immigrant to Upper Canada who became a surveyor in Canada.

Birdsall surveyed many townships in Upper Canada and eventually made his home in one of them; Peterborough County. He was an immigrant whose hard work and skill had led to permanent settlement and progress in an important area of the country.

Birdsall's grandson, Richard Birdsall Rogers, continued the family service and dedication to the Peterborough area.
