Richard S. "Dick" Lyon (October 23, 1924 – September 23, 1976)[ 1] [ 2] was an American football player and coach. Lyon was the sixth head football coach at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York . He held that position for nine seasons, from 1958 until 1966. His coaching record at Ithaca was 49–20.[ 3]
