Richard S. Knickle (born February 26, 1960 in Chatham, New Brunswick and raised in Greenwood, Nova Scotia) is a former ice hockey goaltender. He was drafted in the sixth round, 116th overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. He didn't play in the National Hockey League, however, until 1993: appearing in fourteen games with the Los Angeles Kings.

Knickle played for eleven different International Hockey League teams in his career.

Knickle joined the Phoenix Coyotes as their Director of Amateur Scouting on July 28, 2011.
