Robert Virl Cullison (born December 22, 1936) is an American former politician in the state of Oklahoma.
Biography
Cullison was born in 1936 in Turley, Oklahoma. He attended Baylor University and was a businessman, owning an insurance agency, grocery store, and hardware store. He also served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He is married to Cleo Francilla Cranford; with her he has two children.[1]
Cullison was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives as a Democrat for the 74th district in 1973 and served until 1979, when he was elected to the Oklahoma State Senate. He served in the senate, representing district 34 until 1995. For the last seven years of his senate term, he served as president pro tempore.
