Robin David Sachs (5 February 1951 – 1 February 2013)[1][2] was an English actor.[3]

Personal life

Sachs was born in London[3] to actors Leonard Sachs, who was born in South Africa, and Eleanor Summerfield.[4] He was twice married: first to Welsh actress Siân Phillips (1979–1991)[5] and, secondly, to Casey Defranco.[3] Sachs was known for his role as sorcerer Ethan Rayne in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Death

Sachs died from a heart attack on 1 February 2013, shortly before his 62nd birthday.[2] During the last weekend of February 2013, a Mass Effect 3 multiplayer challenge was enacted, called "Operation Tribute".[6][7]
