Rohan Anthony Marley (born May 19, 1972) is a former football player and entrepreneur. He is the son of late reggae artist Bob Marley and Janet Hunt.[1]

A 1991 graduate of Miami Palmetto Senior High School,[2] Marley played linebacker for the University of Miami football team, where he played alongside players like Dwayne Johnson and Ray Lewis. In 1993 he led the Hurricanes with 95 tackles.[3] He later played professional football in the Canadian Football League with the now defunct Ottawa Rough Riders.[4]

Career

He is the co-founder of the Tuff Gong Clothing line.[5]

In 2007, he co-founded Marley Coffee, an organic coffee plantation and sustainable farming business in Jamaica's Blue Mountains.[6] He appears in the documentary film Motherland.

In 2011, Marley Coffee went public under the name Jammin Java Corp [OTC:JAMN].

In January 2012, Marley advertised his new range of eco-friendly headphones at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV.

Marley helps run his family's charitable organization, 1Love.

Personal life

In college Marley married his girlfriend Geraldine Khawly. Together they have daughter Eden and son Nicolas.[7][8]

Marley and musician Lauryn Hill met in 1996. Hill has referred to Marley as her husband, though the legal status of their relationship is unknown. On his MySpace page, Marley refers to himself as single.[7]

According to an October 2003 Rolling Stone article, Marley never divorced his first wife Geraldine Khawly.[7] With Lauryn Hill he has five children.[9][10] Their fifth child is a girl who was born in early 2008.[11][12][13][14][15] Lauryn Hill has recorded songs about two of her children with Marley. "To Zion" on her first solo effort, 1998's The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill; and "Selah" featured on the Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood soundtrack in 2002.[16]
