Marley Coffee

[edit]

I truly can't believe that the contributions about Marley Coffee were removed. The Marley Coffee website clearly identifies Rohan Marley as the owner. There are video interviews with him clearly stating that he is the owner and talking about the company. Even the official Marley family website states this. It's like the editors here think the know more about Rohan Marley than he does or than the Marley family knows. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.26.167.187 (talk) 09:45, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am not involved with the Marley family in any way shape or form. I have never met anyone in the Marley family. I have visited the Marley Coffee website and the official Marley family webste read the information there and also viewed the videos. I have also read articles in the Jamaica Gleaner and psote done of them. What is the problem here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.26.167.187 (talk) 09:56, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Now that is good information. Maybe it is time to start the page Marley Coffee? Most of the links and information you provided belong there, as it is about the company, not about the owner. I hope this explains. --Dirk Beetstra T C 10:05, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've just removed a passage of what looks like advertising copy for this coffee company.

Wikipedia isn't a free host for advertising material. If the coffee company has been written up in reliable sources (newspaper articles, etc), then Wikipedia can provide a summary of this material -- although this article may not be the best one for the purpose. If it hasn't been written up in those places, then material on it doesn't belong anywhere in Wikipedia. -- Hoary (talk) 23:29, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
