The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights will be a professional hockey team in the American Hockey League based in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. The Knights' name isn't new to sports fans in The Cornhusker State. There have been previous incarnations of the name since 1939 in different defunct minor leagues, but this will be the first time in nearly four decades that a team with that name will step onto the ice. The Aksarben part of the team's name comes from the charatible organization called the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben whose logo is intergrated into the insignia of the team, and the old arena that the hockey team played at, which is "Nebraska" spelled backwards.
