The Roman Catholic Diocese of Wau (Template:Lang-la) is a diocese located in Wau in the Ecclesiastical province of Juba in South Sudan.

History

  • May 30, 1913: Established as Apostolic Prefecture of Bahr el-Ghazal from the Apostolic Vicariate of Central Africa
  • June 13, 1917: Promoted as Apostolic Vicariate of Bahr el-Ghazal
  • May 26, 1961: Renamed as Apostolic Vicariate of Wau
  • December 12, 1974: Promoted as Diocese of Wau
