Rowan Quentin Smith[1] is a former[2] Dean of St. George's Cathedral, Cape Town.[3] He was educated at King's College London and ordained in 1968.[4]

He had come out as gay while serving as the dean for the cathedral, and had been supported by his congregation.[5] Upon his retirement, his ministry was celebrated by the Diocese of False Bay.[6]
