The Royal Army Clothing depot was founded in 1855[1] and was in operation until the 1930s. It was located in Grosvenor Road, Pimlico, London, England, now the site of Dolphin Square. It provided the uniforms for the British Army for many conflicts and was part of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps. During the early part of the First World War it was headed by Colonel Harold Stephen Langhorne.

The factory at Pimlico closed in 1932, when new systems of clothing procurement for the Army were put into effect.[2]
