The rufous-winged philentoma (Philentoma pyrhoptera) is a bird species. Long placed in the flycatcher family (Muscicapidae) when these were used as a "wastebin taxon", they are now tentatively assigned to the Tephrodornithidae pending detailed study. It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
