Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Yuk Chai ( 育才华文小学) is a national-type primary school located in Jalan SS 24/1, Taman Megah, 47301 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

History

SJKC Yuk Chai was founded in the year 1939, and was originally located in a temple in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. Later, the Board of Directors decided to build a new school building next to the temple to accommodate an increase in student enrolment.

In 1954, the piece of land on which the school stood was withdrawn by the mining company that owned it, therefore forcing the school to find a new place to rebuild the school compound. At that time, there were only 120 students. After Malaysia was granted independence, the school became a public school, and the Board of Directors decided to upgrade the school facilities.

In 1970, the Petaling Jaya City Council wanted to consolidate the cityscape, which prompted the school to move once again to Chempaka Village, where it remains till today.
