Sabitha Beegam is the first mayor of Kollam City. She is a lawyer, social worker and CPI(M) politician from Kollam. She was the Mayor of the Corporation of Kollam.

In 2010, she was defeated by Maya Gopikrishnan from Congress by a margin of nine votes.[1]

Sabitha is the youngest Mayor ever got elected in the history of any of the city corporations in India.[2][3][4][5]
