San Antonio City Council

The San Antonio City Council is the legislative arm of the municipal government of the city of San Antonio in the U.S. state of Texas.

San Antonio has a council-manager form of government in which the city manager, Sheryl Sculley, is the city's main, albeit unelected, executive. As of June 2017, Ron Nirenberg serves as the mayor of San Antonio.

San Antonio is divided into 10 districts for purposes of electoral representation in the council. They are, as of June 2017, as follows:[1]

  • District 1 [Downtown]: Roberto Treviño
  • District 2 [East]: William "Cruz" Shaw
  • District 3 [Southeast]: Rebecca Viagran
  • District 4 [Southwest]: Rey Saldaña
  • District 5 [West of Downtown]: Shirley Gonzalez
  • District 6 [West]: Greg Brockhouse
  • District 7 [Northwest]: Ana Sandoval
  • District 8 [Northwest]: Manny Pelaez
  • District 9 [North Central]: John Courage
  • District 10 [Northeast]: Clayton Perry
