Schizodiscus is a lichenized genus of fungi within the Lecideaceae family.[1] This is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Schizodiscus afroalpinus.

Homonymy

Mayer used the name Kishinouyea to describe a jellyfish genus as a replacement name of Schizodiscus Kishinouye, 1902, for homonymy.
