The Scranton House is a historic house at 711 Brook Road in Goshen, New Hampshire. The 1-1/2 story Cape style farmhouse was built c. 1850, and is one of a cluster of plank-frame houses in Goshen. It is unusual in this group for its use of narrow vertical planking (1.25 to 1.5-inch vs. a more typical 3-inch) in its framing. The house is 53 feet (16 m) wide, with a seven-bay facade. The house was clapboarded in mid-20th century, at which time its Greek Revival door surround was lost.[2]
The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.[1]
