ServiceMax’s platform is built on SalesForce force.com cloud technology.[1][2][4][11][12][13] ServiceMax’s cloud-based, mobile-ready field service software solution[14] supports companies across industries to manage contracts, scheduling and parts. It also provides SaaS (Software as a Service) mobile and cloud solutions for parts logistics, work order management, communication and analytics accessible through mobile devices. Customers include communications, technology, industrial equipment, medical devices, and utilities industries.[2][3][11]

In January 2016, ServiceMax introduced[15] Connected Field Service, an Internet of things (IoT) solution that connects machines directly to the technicians who service them. In April 2016, the company introduced[16] Service Performance Metrics, a measurement framework for using field service data to optimize and govern business activity. Customers include communications, technology, industrial equipment, medical devices and utilities industries.[2][3][11] As of January 2016, the ServiceMax platform includes[17] mobile, cloud, Internet of things and web offerings.
