Sharmila Banerjee

Sharmila Banerjee is a Bangladeshi dancer. She started her career in 1971 following her inclination to the dances choreographed by veteran Amala Shankar. [1]

Career

In early 1970s, she debuted in Bangladesh Television. Her dance was choreographed by Laila Hasan. Apart from Laila and Amala, she has also influenced by Rabindranath Tagore. She is the mother of famed dancer Sudeshna Swayamprabha. [1]
