Shay Astar (born September 29, 1981) is an American actress, singer, and songwriter. She is best known for her work in the late 1990s, portraying the neo-feminist August Leffler, a semi-recurring character on the sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun. She also played Elizabeth in the Halloween film Ernest Scared Stupid, and Paula Kelly in the Boy Meets World episode I am not a crook.
Shay Astar portrayed an imaginary friend named Isabella in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Imaginary Friend" in 1992.
She released her first EP, "Blue Music EP" on May 24, 2010.[1] This was followed by her full length debut, "Blue Music" on September 28, 2010.[2][3][4]
She was also in the Rifftrax-riffed short educational film, "The Clean Club," a short featuring inappropriately-sexualized and militant stop-motion-animated household items and sundries. Astar played the baseball-obsessed tomboy whose toiletries taunt her into washing her hair and face, no matter whether she sees dirt or just kind of feels like there might be dirt there.
