Shin Gallery is a contemporary art gallery located on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Since 2013, Shin Gallery has moved locations, and in 2017, expanded the space in which is currently located on Orchard Street.[1] The gallery is owned and directed by Hong Gyu Shin.[2] The gallery specializes in representation of Korean artists. Among the artists Shin Gallery represents are Hyon Gyon,[3] Andreas Emenius and Crack Rodríguez. Shin has exhibited work by Nam June Paik, Man Ray and John Baldessari.[4]
Background
Shin Gallery opened in 2013.[2] The first exhibition featured works by Korean artist Hong Seung-pyo. Shin Gallery has participated in the Armory Show,[5] among other fairs.
