Shigeru Shirai

Template:Japanese name Shirai Shigeru (白井 滋) is a Japanese ichthyologist specializing in elasmobranchs, especially sharks. He graduated from University of Tokyo's Zoology Department with a PhD in Fisheries Science. He is an editor of Japan's Ichthyological Research journal[1] and author of the book, Squalean Phylogeny.
