Silaiyezhupathu is a Tamil-language work by the poet Kambar.[1] It was written to praise the Pallavan king Karunakara Tondaiman, the prime minister and the undaunted general of Kulottunga Chola I.[2][3] He had sacked Lanka and Kalinga to show his loyalty to his king.[4][5][6][7] He later served as prime minister to Vikrama Chola, the son of Kulottunga Chola I.[8]
