Sir Jermyn Davers, 4th Baronet (c.1686 – 20 February 1743) was an English politician and landowner.

Davers was the son of Sir Robert Davers, 2nd Baronet and Hon. Mary Jermyn, daughter and co-heiress of Thomas Jermyn, 2nd Baron Jermyn.[1] He was brought up at Rushbrooke Hall and educated at Christ Church, Oxford. In 1722 he was elected as the Member of Parliament for Bury St Edmunds as a Tory, sitting for the seat until 1727. He was the younger brother of Sir Robert Davers, 3rd Baronet and inherited his title upon his death in 1723.[2] In 1726 he inherited the Jermyn estates, including Cheveley in Cambridgeshire, and Dover Street, in London, under the will of his great uncle, Henry Jermyn, 1st Baron Dover. In 1727 Davers became MP for Suffolk, holding the seat until his death in 1743.

He married Margaretta, the daughter of Rev. Edward Green, on 21 October 1729.[3] He had two illegitimate sons and subsequently four legitimate sons, and two daughters:

  • Mary Davers (1730-1805)
  • Charles Davers (died young)
  • Elizabeth Davers (1733 - 19 December 1800), married Frederick Hervey, 4th Earl of Bristol
  • Sir Robert Davers, 5th Baronet (1735 - 6 May 1763) (killed in Canada during Pontiac's Rebellion; died unmarried)
  • Sir Charles Davers, 6th Baronet (4 June 1737 – 4 June 1806), married Frances Trice
  • Rev. Thomas Davers, (1738-1766)
