Sitticus is a spider genus of the Salticidae family (jumping spiders).[1]

Taxonomy

In 2016 and 2017, Jerzy Prószyński split the genus Sitticus, creating five new genera: Sittiab, Sittiflor (now Calositticus), Sittilong, Sittipub (now Hypositticus) and Sittisax. Some species were also transferred to the genus Attulus. Sitticus was reduced to less than 40 species.[1][2]
