Smitty's is a Canadian-based pancake restaurant that has 115 locations throughout Canada not confined to any one region.[1] The franchise also calls itself Smitty's Canada Limited. It uses the slogan All Your Favourites All Day Long. The "Smitty's" name originated in Seattle, Washington with a restaurant on 125th and Aurora Avenue founded by John William "Smitty" Smith.

History

It was founded in 1960 in Calgary, Alberta where it is still based.

Smitty's is known for its buttermilk pancakes, waffles, omelettes, salads, sandwiches, steaks and pastas.[2] and all day breakfast and lunch menus.

Products

Smitty's makes its own pancake mix, waffle mix, pancake syrup and special blend of ground coffee that can be purchased at some locations.[3]

Promotions

  • Seniors and kids are offered benefits as members of separate clubs.
  • In 2010, to celebrate 50 years in business the restaurant was offering game cards with redeemable prizes to its customers.
