Somaek

Somaek (Korean: 소맥) is a mixture of beer (맥주) and soju (소주) popular among youth in South Korea. While flavored soju is available, unflavoured soju is more commonly used. The usual proportions are one shot of soju to a beer glass, but somaek is rarely drunk for its taste and usually as a means of becoming intoxicated quickly, and is therefore often strengthened to this end.
