Soni Malaj is an Albanian singer born in 1982.

Career

Malaj has participated in competitions like "Top Fest"[1] (2006), and she placed second in Kënga Magjike with Flori Mumajesi, her long-time boyfriend, with the song "Fluturimi 3470" (Flight 3470).

After Serbian singer Marija Šerifović won Eurovision Song Contest 2007, there was speculation that her winning song Molitva was actually plagiarism of Soni Malaj's song Ndarja.[2]

Soni Malaj also won top fest 11 award titled "you live with her". In the same edition of Top Fest Soni Malaj also won "Best Female Singer" award.

In 2018, she participated in Festivali i Këngës 57 with the song "Më e fortë". She finished fifth overall.
