Sonic Foundry (NasdaqSOFO) is a former developer of various media software suites. In late 2003, Sony acquired its desktop product line as a new subsidiary, Sony Creative Software, hired roughly 60% of employees, paid $18 million in cash, and took on certain liabilities and obligations.[1] Sonic Foundry's current product line consists of the webcasting, presentation software Mediasite.
