SPARKcon is an annual creative festival located in downtown Raleigh, NC. It is best known as a citywide showcase of local creative talent each September. SPARKcon was started in 2006 by members of Designbox, including Aly and Beth Khalifa (of Gamil Design), Paul Friedrich, and other members of Designbox. In 2009 it is estimated that more than 30,000 people attended the 4 day festival which showcased 1200 performers.
