Spectrum of Death is the debut album by Morbid Saint. It was recorded at Opus Recording (later known as Wave Digital once they removed the 2 inch tape machines in favor of Akai Digital Audio Machines) in Gurnee, Illinois. It was produced by Eric Greif and engineered by Al Pangeliron.
Release
The album was originally released as a demo on the producer's Edge Records in 1989 as Lock Up Your Children and then licensed by Edge to the Mexican label Avanzada Metalica where it became Spectrum of Death. Since then, the album has been reissued several times.
The album was further licensed to Grind Core (89803-2) and released as a CD, on tape in 1992 by Metal Mind Productions licensed via Grind Core, on CD again in 2005 by Keltic Records with the Destruction System demo added as bonus tracks, on vinyl in 2006 by No Colours Records (limited to 300 copies), and on CD in 2008 by Power Play Records, licensed by the band and producer.[2] Spectrum of Death/Destruction System and a live DVD of the band playing in Racine,WI will be released again in 2012 by Morbid Saint. The new release will be a 3 disc set and also include 4 new songs.
