Sri Aurobindo College was established by Delhi University in year 1972, which was the birth centenary year of the philosopher, patriot-poet, Sri Aurobindo. The college is situated in the heart of South Delhi in Malviya Nagar, in the vicinity of Qutab Minar, Sri Aurobindo Ashram, IIT (Delhi), NCERT and Qutab Institutional Area. The College, popularly referred to as "Aurobindo", offers liberal education in humanities, commerce and science to more than 2500 students. It offers B. A. Honours in English, Hindi and Political Science, B.A. Programme, B.Com.(H) and B.Com.(Pass), B.Sc. Honours Electronics, B.Sc. Programme Life Sciences and Physical Sciences. The college is a constituent part of University of Delhi. The college inculcates the ideals of Sri Aurobindo and believes that an active commitment towards excellence is in fundamental to the process of education. The College has seen remarkable growth over the years. The quality of the incoming students and the University results have shown a progressive upward movement. Continual addition and updation of essential amenities and facilities has made our College a prestigious institution for academic and co-curricular pursuits. Student engagements in extracurricular activities like Sports, NCC, and Cultural Societies are encouraged under the able guidance of our skilled faculty. Our commitment is to a student-centered environment and the college is dedicated to education covering a broad spectrum The College has a team of highly qualified and committed faculty who are responsible for creating a student friendly environment. The College has well equipped laboratories and a library with a large number of national and international journals. The college has a cultural committee which is responsible for identifying and promoting talent of the students. Similarly the college has a debate and a literary society which is responsible for nurturing the talent of the students.
