Starkeya novella is a chemolithoautotrophic and methylotrophic bacteria from the family of Xanthobacteraceae which has been isolated from soil.[1][3][4][5] Starkeya novella has the ability to oxidise thiosulfate.[6][7] The complete genome of Starkeya novella is sequenced.[5]
