Starky is Starky's second studio album, released in 2006 (see 2006 in music). In promoting their second album, Starky went on to support The Killers during their Australian tour in early 2007. Their sets included songs from the self-titled album and usually a cover.

After the band released their first studio album Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvre in 2003, the band underwent a change of personnel and as a result, Beau Cassidy became chief songwriter and subsequently the band acquired a different, more atmospheric sound. The album was produced by Dave Eringa who has produced records for the likes of Idlewild, Manic Street Preachers and Suede.
