Steve Harshman[2] (born in Casper, Wyoming) is an American politician and a Republican member of the Wyoming House of Representatives representing District 37 since January 2003.
Education
Harshman earned his BS in education from Black Hills State University and his MS from Oregon State University.
Elections
- 2012 Harshman won the August 21, 2012 Republican Primary with 1,189 votes (68.5%),[3] and was unopposed for the November 6, 2012 General election, winning with 3,858 votes.[4]
- 2002 When Republican Representative Rick Tempest was term limited (since repealed) and left the District 37 seat open, Harshman won the three-way August 20, 2002 Republican Primary with 835 votes (47.6%),[5] and won the November 5, 2002 General election with 2,321 votes (62.2%) against Democratic nominee Jo Koch.[6]
- 2004 Harshman won the August 17, 2004 Republican Primary with 1,243 votes (69.4%),[7] and won the November 2, 2004 General election with 3,198 votes (70.0%) against Democratic nominee Scott Koenekamp.[8]
- 2006 Harshman won the August 22, 2006 Republican Primary with 1,280 votes (82.0%),[9] and Koenekamp was unopposed for his primary, setting up a rematch; Harshman won the November 7, 2006 General election with 2,771 votes (70.2%) against Koenekamp.[10]
- 2008 Harshman was unopposed for both the August 19, 2008 Republican Primary, winning with 1,395 votes,[11] and the November 4, 2008 General election, winning with 3,811 votes.[12]
- 2010 Harshman was unopposed for both the August 17, 2010 Republican Primary, winning with 1,731 votes,[13] and the November 2, 2010 General election, winning with 2,827 votes.[14]
