Stompetoren is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Alkmaar, and lies about 6 km southeast of the city of Alkmaar.

In 2001, the town of Stompetoren had 1087 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.28 km², and contained 432 residences.[1] The statistical area "Stompetoren", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1300.[2]
