Sudheer Sharma is an author and journalist. He is a known name in Nepali media with a journalism career spanning more than two decades. He runs Nepal's largest selling daily Kantipur as the Editor-in-Chief since 2008.

His writings are focused on politics, geopolitics, national security, social issues etc. Earlier Sharma was the Editor of Nepal weekly newsmagazine, prior to which he was also associated with Himal Khabarpatrika and Kathmandu Today, among others.

Sharma has also worked with Brussels-based International Crisis Group as the Nepal analyst, taking a break from mainstream journalism for a year.

Sharma has written and contributed a number of books. His new book Prayogshala: Nepali Sankraman ma Delhi, Durbar ra Maobaadi, published in 2013, is focused on Nepal's ongoing political transition.

He has also edited a book on Nepalese Army: Nepali Sena : Nagarik Niyantran ka Chunauti, published in 2010. Sharma has also contributed in these books:

Sharma has done a research on The Ethnic dimension of the Maoist Insurgency in 2002. He has also contributed a research titled An Overview of Recent Armed Conflict in Nepal, conducted with Dr. Harka Gurung for New ERA, a Kathmandu-based think tank, in October 2001.[1]
