The Sumatran woodpecker (Picus dedemi) is a bird in the Picidae family endemic to the island of Sumatra in Indonesia, where it is found in forest and woodland habitats in montane areas. The species was, until recently, considered conspecific with the grey-headed woodpecker (Picus canus).
