Sumxi is a village in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. It is located at 5210 meters above sea level. It is populated by indigenous nomadic people, but has also a checkpoint where all traffic on the Tibet-Xinjiang Highway is checked by military personnel or police. Some of the inhabitants have also set up shop, that sells basic supplies such as noodles.
