Suroor Barabankvi (1919–1980) (Urdu: سرور بارہ بنکوی ) was an Urdu poet and lyricist from Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, India. Born Syed Saeed ur Rehman, he wrote under the takhallus (pen name) Suroor (exhilaration).[1] He made various films including, Akhri Station.[2] He died in 1980 at Karachi, Pakistan.[1]
