Survival Family (サバイバルファミリー, Sabaibaru famirī) is a 2017 Japanese drama/comedy directed by Shinobu Yaguchi. The film was produced by Takashi Ishihara, Minami Ichikawa, and Kiyoshi Nagai. The film was selected for the International Film Festival & Awards in Macao, for 2017.

Plotline

This film centres on the main character of Yoshiyuki Suzuki (played by Fumiyo Kohinata). When the electricity in Tokyo stops, the city is on verge of panic. Yoshiyuki has to strive to make sure his family can survive.

The family, used to being spoilt by a modern urban life, learn to deal with the harsh realities of a dystopic Japan where the lack of electricity has made everyone mad.[1]
