The men's 400 metre freestyle competition of the swimming events at the 1995 Pan American Games took place between March 12-17 at the Complejo Natatorio.[1] The last Pan American Games champion was Sean Killion of US.[2][3][4][5][6][7]

This race consisted of eight lengths of the pool, with all eight being in the freestyle stroke.[8]
